๐Ÿ“Œ What is Earned Leave?

As per PSPCL rules, an employee earns 1 day of leave for every 16 days of qualifying service. Both the Start Date and End Date are considered inclusive in this calculation.

  • โœ… Leave is earned for every complete block of 16 days.
  • โ— Partial days (less than 16) are not counted towards earned leave but are shown for reference.

๐Ÿง  How It Works

Just enter your Start Date and End Date, and the calculator will:

  1. Count the total number of days between the two dates (inclusive).
  2. Calculate how many full leave units (every 16 days) are earned.
  3. Show any remaining days (the fraction left after full 16-day units).
  4. Allow you to download a PDF of your result for record-keeping.

๐Ÿงพ Accounting Head

For the purpose of financial entries, Earned Leave is accounted under Head: 8.69 in PSPCL records. This applies when the leave is encashed or recorded for leave balance adjustments.

๐Ÿ’ก Example

Suppose an employee works from 01-Jan-2024 to 31-Mar-2024:

  • Total Days: 91
  • Earned Leaves: 5
  • Balance Days: 11 (not yet eligible for a full leave)
